2018 10th Gathering Nottingham, England 25-30 June
Those blessed members that were able to attend the 6th Gathering met at the magnificent Thoresby Hall. Doug Cline’s last event as our president was a great one. From Monday thru Friday we visited famous Clay legacy locations and enjoyed wonderful new friendships and hospitality from our English cousins.

Huntsville, birthplace of Alabama! Clement Comer Clay, his son Clement Claiborne Clay, and many others have called Huntsville and Madison County their homes. We had a great time and missed all our Clay cousins that were unable to attend!!

2006 – 4th Gathering – Chester, VA – June
We were happy to see cousins that we had not seen for the two years since the last Gathering, and we met new cousins that joined us for their first time. We visited the cemeteries of Henry Clay, the elder who died in 1760, his son Rev. Eleazar Clay and grandson Phineas Clay. We heard the stories of the petrified man of Chesterfield County, the kidnapping of two Indian children by Henry Clay, and of the searches of our cousins.

The late Hortense Phillpott made a quilt about Mitchell & Phoebe Belcher Clay. It was raffled off and Virginia Rahal won it!
