Clearing your cache will now hurt your computer or browsing experience in any way.
In Safari: If “Develop” IS NOT SHOWING on your Safari menu bar do the following:
1. Click on Safari in the menu bar and select Preferences
2. In the window that opens, check the box “Show Develop menu in menu bar”
In Safari: When “Develop” IS SHOWING on your Safari menu bar do the following:
1. Click on “Develop” on the Safari menu bar to see the dropdown menu
2. Click Empty Caches
In Firefox:
1. Click on Settings (top right hamburger icon)
2. Click on Privacy & Security (on left)
3. In the new window that opens scroll down to the section titled “Cookies and Site Data”
4. Press the “Clear Data” button. The amount of cached content will become zero.
In Chrome:
1. On your computer, open Chrome
2. At the top right, click on the 3 vertical dots
3. Click on Privacy and security (on left)
4. Click on Clear browsing data (Clear history, cookies, cache, and more)
5. Click Clear data in the box window that opens.
In Edge (Microsoft)
First clear browser data
1. Press the keys [Ctrl], [Shift] and [Del].
2. A new Window opens. Select the option “temporary services and files”.
3. Confirm your selection by clicking on the “delete” button.
Next clear the browser cache
1. Click on the “Menu” in the upper right corner of Microsoft Edge and open the Browser setting. You can recognise the menu by the three stacked dots.
2. Then go to the “Privacy, search and services” item in the left menu
3. Here, under “Clear browser data”, click on “Choose what to clear” and a pop-up window will appear.
4. Select the desired Time range and check the “Cached images and files” option. Confirm the selection by clicking the “Clear now” button.
In Opera:
1. Press the keys [Ctrl], [H] to open your history page.
2. Click Clear browsing data in the top-right corner.
3. Select what you want to delete and the time range, like recent history or all time.
4. Click Clear data.
